Russia delivers 40 tons of humanitarian relief to Vietnam

Russian aircraft Il-76, No. RA-76363 carrying 40 tons of typhoon Damrey relief goods from Russia to Vietnam landed on Cam Ranh International Airport, Khanh Hoa Province today on November 9.

Nguyen Duy Bac, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee together with leaders of Khanh Hoa Red Cross welcomed the delegation and received the aid. Also present at the event was Maxim Mikhalev, Chief of the Russian Consulate in Hanoi.


The aid included 14 tons of sugar, 5 tons of milk, 6.7 tons of canned pork, 2.79 tons of canned fish, 10.304 tons of canned beef and more than 1 ton of large tents. “We have received the humanitarian aid from Russia. The goods will be delivered to residents affected by the typhoon”, said the leader of Khanh Hoa Red Cross.

“On behalf of the government, people of Khanh Hoa Province and southern central provinces, I would like to express sincere thank and appreciation to Russian President Putin, Russian Government and people for the humanitarian aid delivered to Vietnam’s southern central provinces. The goods are very essential in the current situation,” said Nguyen Duy Bac.
