On November 26, Truong My Hoa, former State Vice-President, Chairman of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, Director of the "For beloved Spratly Islands" Club led a delegation together with leaders of Khanh Hoa Departments of Education & Training, Khanh Hoa Youth Union and relevant agencies offered scholarships to ethnic minority students, students in coastal and island areas and those in need after devastating Typhoon Damrey.
70 Vu A Dinh scholarships, VND800,000 each for primary school children and VND1 million each for others, 115 “For beloved Spratly Islands” scholarships, VND1 million each, totaling VND179 million were offered.
The beneficiaries included 22 primary and junior high school students in Cam Lam District, 10 in Cam Ranh City, 20 in Khanh Son District, 18 in Dien Khanh District, 30 in Khanh Vinh District, 22 in Nha Trang City, 21 in Van Ninh District, 15 in Ninh Hoa Town and 27 senior high school students in Khanh Hoa.
On the same day, the delegation paid a visit and offered 170 “For beloved Spratly Islands” scholarships to children of officials and soldiers in the Navy region IV and 30 Submarine Brigade 189 officials and soldiers' children.
The scholarship grant will continue until November 29.
