Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training held an award ceremony for the 2017 – 2018 Scientific & Technical Contest for high school students on December 13. The contest starting from December 12 drew 152 projects in 16 sectors by 246 students from 34 units, including 226 schools and 8 Divisions of Education & Training.
87 special awards, including 8 first, 13 second, 25 third and 41 consolation, and 10 general awards, including 6 first and 4 second, were presented. 6 excellent projects were chosen to advance to the national contest scheduled to be held by Ministry of Education & Training in Lam Dong Province in March 2018. They included plastic waste treatment based on insect biodegradation (students at Vo Van Ky High School, Nha Trang City); Current situation and solutions to raise awareness, improve attitudes and behaviors of students in Cam Nghia Ward about tourism issues in Cam Ranh City; Suspension seats on canoes; Climbing boots (students at Ngo Gia Tu High School, Cam Ranh City); Alum-infected water treatment system in rural areas in Khanh Hoa (Ly Tu Trong High School, Nha Trang); Application of CNN algorithm in diagnosis of precancerous skin growth and AR-assisted leaf surface on Android (Le Quy Don High School, Nha Trang).
