On December 4, Italian D’Amico project manager Salvatore Spinali donated USD10,000 to Khanh Hoa Provincial leaders in support of residents affected by Typhoon Damrey.
Earlier, D’Amico had provided USD8,000 aid for Hyundai Vinashin (HVS) workers suffering from severe damages caused by the typhoon; USD7,000 for 25 homes in 5 wards and communes, namely Ninh Thuy, Ninh Hai, Ninh Phuoc, Ninh Diem and Ninh Van in Ninh Hoa Town. The assistance totaled USD25,000 or VND550 million.
D’Amico is a big customer of HVS with 28 ship-building contracts signed with HVS since 2008. 23 ships have been handed over and the other 5 are being built.
