On December 7, Nguyen Tan Tuan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council received a delegation of Laos’ Champasak Provincial senior officials led by Somsanith Bouttivong, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Committee and Deputy Governor of Champassak on their visit with USD10,000 relief assistance offered to Khanh Hoa Province to recover from Typhoon Damrey.
At the meeting, Somsanith Bouttivong presented condolences for the considerable damage and loss in the recent typhoon and encouraged local residents to overcome difficulties to stabilize their life.
On behalf of Khanh Hoa Provincial government and people, Nguyen Tan Tuan thanked Champasak Province for the recovery aid and confirmed that the concern and relief assistance would contribute to strengthening the friendship and solidarity of the two provinces in particular, the two States and people of the two countries in general.
