Nha Trang Maritime Rescue Cooperation Center (MRCC) in cooperation with Khanh Hoa Border Defense Force, Nha Trang Maritime Administration, Nha Trang Coastal Radio Station and 115 Emergency Center under Khanh Hoa General Hospital has just held a maritime search and rescue rehearsal, reported Nguyen Xuan Binh, Director of Nha Trang Maritime Rescue Cooperation Center (MRCC) on November 30.
The event was based on a scenario that the basement of a ship carrying 5 crew and 20 tourists on Nha Trang Bay, 10 sea miles from the coast, caught fire. Receiving an SOS signal from the ship captain, Nhatrang MRCC sent SAR 27-01 to launch the rescue operation. At the same time, Khanh Hoa Border Defense Force’s BP-331901 ship carrying 9 officials and soldiers and Nha Trang Maritime Administration’s specialized ship CVNT-03 also sped to the scene.
The rehearsal met the requirement for assigned organization and cooperation purposes and safety for humans.
