VND320 million aid was delivered to Khanh Vinh District in support of families struggling with damages caused by Typhoon Damrey on December 2. Present at the event was Nguyen Tan Tuan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council.
Khanh Hoa Young Businessmen's Association offered VND170 million, Hanoi Real Estate Club: VND80 million, Ministry of Foreign Affairs: VND50 million and NGO Fontana Non-Governmental Danish Organization: VND20 million to support the typhoon-hit community.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Nguyen Tan Tuan thanked the businesses, individuals and organizations for the assistance to help surmount the natural disaster consequences.
Reportedly, Typhoon Damrey left 15 injured and caused VND225.4 billion destruction, damaging 3,140 houses, 37 schools, 18 medical establishments, 13 public State agencies, 4,322ha of crops; uprooting 3,500ha of Acacia trees, killing 167 cattle and 8,644 livestock.
50 groups have paid visits and offered assistance to Khanh Vinh District after the typhoon, according to Khanh Vinh District Fatherland Front Committee.
