More than 260,000 students across Khanh Hoa Province came back to school on February 21 after a long Tet holiday.


Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training has required all educational units and schools to continue assuring the teaching and learning schedule after Tet.


According to a report by Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training, educational agencies assured teaching schedules and New Year clean-up campaigns. 100% of teaching staff and students pledged to abide by a ban on the production, storage and use of fire-crackers; follow traffic rules, regulations on wearing helmets when riding motor bikes, environmental protection, school safety and security at schools and in public areas; fight against social evils, etc.

Educational units and schools fulfilled all regulations on salaries and bonuses for teaching staff before Tet. Besides, many activities were held to support New Year celebration for needy teachers and students. Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training paid a visit and offered New Year gifts totaling nearly VND50 million to ethnic minority students in Giang Ly Commune, Khanh Vinh District. Khanh Hoa Educational Trade Union paid a visit and offered gifts worth VD45.5 million to 91 disadvantaged families.


In addition, schools organized various activities to welcome the festive season such as musical shows, food culture fair, spring fair, etc in order to raise funds for needy students. Le Quy Don Gifted High School, Nha Trang City, held a show named 2018 “Spring for Sharing” and awarded 100 scholarships worth VND100 million to the needy. Tran Binh Trong High School, Cam Lam District offered 70 scholarships worth VND35 million from the school education promotion fund. Besides, teachers, students’ parents and formers students provided support worth VND30 million to offer New Year gifts to needy students.


Leaders of Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training has required schools to continue assuring school schedules and assign teachers to cooperate with organizations and students’ parents to prevent school drop-outs after Tet.
