Khanh Hoa General Hospital celebrated the Vietnamese Doctors' Day anniversary (February 27) on February 23. More than 100 medical staff and retired cadres of Khanh Hoa General Hospital attended the event where they listened to teachings in the letter sent from President Ho Chi Minh to medical staff, reviewed the tradition of the Vietnamese Doctors' Day anniversary and achievements of the hospital in 2017 and informed of the hospital development strategy in 2018.
Accordingly, the hospital will boost the satellite hospital project, receiving and transferring technical advances to improve medical examination and treatment; human resource training, medical service, international cooperation, hospital quality management, etc.
In 2017, the hospital gave medical examination to over 365,000 arrivals, achieving 117.8% of the plan, gave inpatient treatment to nearly 79,000 patients, achieving 151.4%; gave outpatient treatment to more than 11,350 arrivals; successfully performed surgery on nearly 18,390 patients, achieving 53.3% and so on.
Besides, the hospital sought donations worth VND3.7billion from individuals and organizations to help poor patients and provided over 183,000 portions for the poor.
