Khanh Hoa Department of Industry & Trade celebrated a ceremony on March 15 to launch the 2018 Vietnamese Consumer Rights Day. Present at the event were representatives of local departments, organizations, market management boards and businesses in Khanh Hoa Province.
Over the past years, local authorities, departments and agencies and business have protected the rights and interests of consumers through a wide variety of activities such as assuring customer care, handling consumers’ complaints, boosting product business inspection, etc.
Themed “Sound business – sustainable consumption”, this year’s event is designed to mobilize businesses to abide by the law and policies on consumer protection, maintaining sound business and fair competitiveness environment, contributing to sustainable consumption environment.

At the launching ceremony, some businesses and supermarkets such as Co.opmart Nha Trang, Big C Nha Trang and Me Trang Coffee Company signed pledges to comply with goods quality and consumer protection regulations and standards.
Reportedly, activities in response to the 2018 Vietnamese Consumer Rights Day held since early March have included Vietnamese Consumer Rights Day celebration in markets, trade centers, and production and business establishments; Vietnamese Consumer Rights Day propaganda on the mass media; product warranty support, consumer care with discount and so on.
