The 2018 see-off ceremony for 1,851 newly-recruited soldiers took place in all districts and towns in Khanh Hoa Province on March 5.
The recruits are from Nha Trang (381 young people), Cam Ranh 216, Ninh Hoa 465, Dien Khanh 233, Cam Lam 215, Khanh Son 45, Khanh Vinh 71 and Van Ninh 225.
Military units receiving the newly-recruited soldiers include 377 Air Division, Air Force Academy, Information Brigade 132, Brigade 957 Naval Region 4; Division 2, Infantry Division 305, Artillery Brigade 572, Artillery Brigade 368, Engineer Brigade 270, Armored Brigade 574, Military Region 5 General Staff, Khanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command and the Provincial Military Command.
Reportedly, the quality of recruited soldiers this year is higher than in previous years in terms of health and qualifications. Recruits with high school diplomas account for 60% and those with health levels 1 and 2 make up nearly 50%. 357 have applications to voluntarily join the army.
