Khanh Hoa General Hospital held a talk on March 22 to mark the Vietnam Social Work Day (March 25).
Representatives listened to the report on social work 2017 at Khanh Hoa General Hospital’s Social Work Office and gave suggestions on social work, especially support for poor patients.
For four years, the Social Work Office has raised the fund for poor patients, heart surgery fund and emergency kit fund of the Khanh Hoa Buddhist Church of Vietnam to offer cash, gifts and pay hospital fees at a total cost of more than VND8.7 billion for thousands of poor patients; cooperate and mobilize many other charity funds to provide wheelchairs, milk, pay medical bills and organize many activities for hundreds of patients on national holidays. Besides, the office has also helped seek relatives of vagrants and abandoned children.

On this occasion, the hospital leader awarded plaques of appreciation to agencies, organizations, including Khanh Hoa Newspaper, benefactors, volunteers and medical staff who had had great contribution to social work at the hospital.
