Under the 2017-2020 farmer support program, Khanh Hoa Province has installed 104 biogas digesters, meeting 97% of the plan. Each biogas digester is funded VND5 million and the remaining is from owners' reciprocal capitals. Each biogas production system is worth VND10-12 million.
Biogas is a renewable energy source, produced from raw materials such as agricultural waste, manure, municipal waste, sewage, etc. Many farmers have registered to build biogas production systems to prevent agricultural pollution.
More than 1,000 biogas digesters have been built under biogas projects so far in Khanh Hoa.
