The first Safe Food Fair will be held in Nha Trang City for the first time by Khanh Hoa Center for Industry & Trade Promotion in order to introduce companies and establishments eligible for safe and quality food production.
 
Nguyen Sanh Duong, Director of Khanh Hoa Center for Industry & Trade Promotion says food safety is everybody’s concern and ensuring food safety is becoming increasingly important. Therefore, the fair aims to provide opportunities to introduce prestigious and reputable producers and businesses to consumers. 
 
Approved by Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, the Safe Food Fair is in the trade promoting program in April in 2018 in response to the Action Month for Food Safety and the campaign “Vietnamese give priority to using Vietnamese goods” in Khanh Hoa Province.
 
The fair is also a useful information channel, contributing to promoting food safety and hygiene awareness and responsibility of production and business establishments during the production, storage and consumption.
 
The fair will take place at the Children’s Park and Yen Phi’s Park in Xuong Huan Ward, Nha Trang City on April 18-21 with a minimum of 40 booths of more than 20 companies and establishments.
 
Under the concern and direction of Khanh Hoa Department of Commerce & Industry and Nha Trang City People’s Committee, Khanh Hoa Center for Industry & Trade Promotion has cooperated with Khanh Hoa Food Administration Division (Khanh Hoa Department of Health), the Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Division (Department of Agriculture & Rural Development) and professional bureaus of Khanh Hoa Department of Commerce & Industry to select and mobilize eligible business and production establishments to join the fair.
 
40 enterprises with more than 60 booths of safe vegetables, fruits, fish sauce, drink, coffee, processed food, sweets, etc have registered to participate in the event so far. In addition, the center has cooperated with local authorities to make specific plans to assure order and security; fire and explosion prevention and control before, during and after the fair.
 
The preparation for the fair has basically completed. The fair is expected to be successful, serving as an attractive shopping destination for local residents and tourists.
