Results from these competitions have added the Navy Academy's achievements through Olympic contests for many years, especially since 2013. According to Huynh Vinh Tuyen, Chief of the Training Office, the Navy Academy, over the past years, the Party Committee, directorates and leaders of agencies and units have motivated and provided opportunities for students to participate in Olympic contests.
Besides, the great achievements are thanks to enthusiastic, skilled and experienced lecturers. The Navy Academy frequently organizes Olympic contests, contests in math, computing, social sciences and humanities, promotes the operation of foreign language clubs, etc.
In addition, the Navy Academy has had preferential policies for students and lecturers participating in the contests; encouraged, rewarded and commended groups and individuals gaining high achievements in competitions; through teaching and scientific research, discovered and promoted young talents to join Olympic teams.
Annually, based on contest schedules, concerned agencies and units shall make plans, select teams and organize training classes which is closely matched with the requirements of each contest. Therefore, the academy's Olympic teams have achieved satisfactory results in Olympic competitions.
Joining regular Olympic contests has helped cadres, lecturers and students to have more chances to practice and share experience to improve professional skills, contributing greatly to improving education and training quality, scientific research, meeting the requirement for sea and island sovereignty in the new situation.
