On April 24, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) cooperated with Khanh Vinh District people’s Committee to start construction on 30 storm-proof houses in 8 communes, including Khanh Thuong, Khanh Thanh, Khanh Phu, Khanh Trung, Khanh Binh, Khanh Hiep, Khanh Dong and Cau Ba.
The beneficiaries were poor residents whose houses collapsed in Typhoon Damrey in late 2017. Each storm-proof house, 25.5m2 was funded USD2,200 aid.
