Earth day every day was celebrated by Nha Trang University’s English Access Microscholarship Program (Access Program) on Nha Trang Beach on May 13.
The students joined the clean-up, waste collection, classification and treatment on the beach; interviewed residents and tourists about the environment, set up environmental posters, made presentation and shared experience among groups. The language used in the activities was English. The program was also joined by students of the NORHED’s program on marine ecosystem management and climate change.

The activity was in response to the World Environment Day (June 5), contributing to raising public awareness of environmental issues and responsibility to preserve the oceans and beaches for future generations.
The Access Program sponsored by U.S. Embassy provides a foundation of English language skills to learners from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
