The United States Navy’s Pacific Partnership 2018 (PP18) kicked off in Khanh Hoa on May 17 with the presence of U.S. Navy’s logistic ships (USNS) Mercy on Nha Trang Bay.
Mercy crew will coordinate with local authorities to hold humanitarian events for 15 days such as medical examination, medical exchange; school and hospital repair and construction and community exchange activities. British Royal Navy will also join the event in the time to come, according to Naval Captain David Bretz, PP18 mission commander.
This is the 9th time the Mercy ship has arrived in Vietnam and the 2nd consecutive time in Khanh Hoa Province.
