Khanh Hoa Province Summer Activity Steering Board will organize many education activities on politics and social security, providing a sound playground for kids to meet and play in summer 2018.
Nguyen Van Nhuan, Vice Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union, says, summer activities taking place from now to August are themed “Youth creativity – national construction” with 5 main contents, including promoting youth volunteering, compulsory education for kids; propaganda on national sea and island border sovereignty, power saving, environmental protection, reciprocation activities with visit to and care for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, free medical treatment and medications; house repair for the disadvantaged, etc.
Besides, many other activities will be held to maintain traffic safety; prevent social evils together with cultural, musical and sporting activities for kids, volunteering programs for social development.
The Summer Activity Steering Board has made plans to effectively implement the activities, specifically assigned for each month in summer. In May and June, there will be an army semester, the 14th Khanh Hoa Informatics Contest for the Youth, provincial "Three-Virtue pupil" program; exam season support programs; an art program jointly held with Khanh Hoa Youth Broadcasting Media Joint Stock Company about President Ho Chi Minh and so on.
In July, Khanh Hoa Youth Union will organize a green summer campaign in Attapeu Province, Laos, cooperate with Khanh Hoa Department of Labor, War Invalids & Social affairs to open the Children’s Forum 2018, Rural Youth Day 2018; a festival for excellent students from disadvantaged background and families of social welfare beneficiaries; library grants at Khanh Hoa Public Security’s house of temporary detention on educating prisoners to integrate into the community and Jail A2; etc.
At present, Khanh Hoa Youth Union has sent a detailed draft on the summer program to leaders of local departments and agencies; and People’s Committees of districts and towns to collect contributive ideas for the program which will then be submitted to Khanh Hoa People’s Committee for approval. The approved program will be developed by all Youth Union affiliations in Khanh Hoa Province.
