Nha Trang University held a commencement ceremony for NORHED’s Master Program, Cohort 2 on Marine Ecosystem Management and Climate Change on June 13. 20 graduates were from Kenya, Liberia, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Bangladesh, Srilanka and Zambia.
This program is under the agreement between the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) and Nha Trang University within the NORHED project on climate change for the management of seafood and aquaculture in Srilanka and Vietnam. The 2-year full-time course is taught in English with 67 credits. The training course international universities, namely Tromso, Bergen (Norway), Auburn (USA), Bogor Agricultural University (Indonesia), Ruhuna (Srilanka) and universities in Asian Pacific region. The program is co-taught by lecturers from Norway, USA, Australia, Indonesia, Srilanka, Nha Trang University.
Reportedly, in 2017, the program awarded graduate certificates to 11 students from 5 countries. At present, 13 students are attending the third course of the program.
