A whirlwind and hailstorm lashed Khanh Vinh District, Khanh Hoa Province on June 24, destroying 67 houses, including 41 with roofs completely blown off in Khanh Phu Commune, reports Can Van Toan, Chairman of Khanh Phu Commune People’s Committee. Besides, the whirlwind also caused extensive damage to 45ha of crops, mostly banana, Citrus and Acacia.
On June 25, Khanh Vinh District Steering Board For Flood Control, Natural Disaster Relief & Rescue together with Khanh Phu Commune assessed the damage to support the disaster recovery efforts.
