The scientific conference on infectious diseases and HIV/AIDS and the 8th ASEAN Conference of Tropical Medicine and Parasitology (ACTMP) 2018 are underway in Nha Trang City on July 27-29.
The Vietnam Annual National Scientific Conference on Infectious Diseases & HIV/AIDS and 8th ASEAN Conference of Tropical Medicine & Parasitology (ACTMP) are jointly hosted by the National Hospital for Infectious Diseases (NHTD), Vietnam Society of Infectious Diseases (VSID), Vietnam Clinical of HIV/AIDS Society (VCHAS), Vietnam Society of Parasitology (VSP), Oxford Clinical Research Unit Vietnam (OUCRU), ASEAN Society of Tropical Medicine and Parasitology (ASTMP). Present at the event were Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long and Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Dac Tai.
Nearly 2,000 professors, associate professors, doctors, scientists and researchers on infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS and parasitology at home and abroad attended the conferences where 123/205 presentations will be made on updated issues and knowledge about vector-borne diseases, emerging and re-emerging diseases; parasitic diseases, veterinary health, travel medicine and innovation in diagnosis and treatment of infectious and parasitic diseases; challenges and opportunities for field epidemiology training, etc.
This is the first time the Vietnam Annual National Scientific Conference on Infectious Diseases has been attended by ASEAN representatives.
