Accordingly, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has required Khanh Hoa Department of Health to preside and cooperate with local agencies and localities to take Ebola virus disease prevention and control measures. Nha Trang Maritime Administration and Cam Ranh International Aiport have closely cooperated with Khanh Hoa Department of Heath’s International Health Quarantine Center and relevant agencies on the surveillance and sharing of health information about travelers from Ebola-hit countries to enhance health monitoring when in need.

Under the guidance by the Ministry of Health, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, Khanh Hoa Department of Health and the International Health Quarantine Center have boosted human resources and facilities to check the body temperature of travelers at border crossings, ports and airports such as Cam Ranh International Aiport, Hyundai Vinashin Port; set up posters and distribute leaflets at ports, airports to provide knowledge about the Ebola to help travelers check their own health status and contact medical facilities when necessary. The center has also strengthened rapid-response epidemic control and treatment teams to perform risk classification, monitor suspected patients and move patients to isolation rooms for treatment.
The steering board has taken measures against Ebola at the center, crossings, international ports and airports; prepare medications, medicals and facilities; provide enhance screenings for Ebola, training for luggage cleaning, disinfection and isolation procedures; make plans to cooperate with the directorates of international ports, airports and Khanh Hoa Center for Preventive Medicine to assure epidemic control surveillance and provide regular reports on Ebola epidemic.
The International Health Quarantine Center has 3 remote controlled body temperature meters and 20 others with touch keys available for use. No case of travelers infected with Ebola has been reported so far at ports, airports and border crossings in Khanh Hoa, according to Dr. Nguyen Hoa Hoi, Director of International Health Quarantine Center.
