Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council has approved in principle some housing development projects in Western Nha Trang City under the suggestion by Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, says Nguyen Ngo, Head of the Economics & Budget Board, Khanh Hoa People’s Council.

Khanh Hoa People’s committee has approved a 1/500 scale detailed planning of Tan Truong 1 Urban Area, 127.0000m2, in Dong Nhon Village, Vinh Trung Commune. The project includes 36,300m2 for villas, 3,400m2 for an adjacent residential land, over 12,800m2 for social housing land and over 9,600m2 for resettlement land together with over 4,600m2 for parks and 54,300m2 for roads and parking lots.

Besides Tan Truong 1 Urban Area, there is another 1/500 scale detailed housing project from Phu Vinh Bridge to Tac River through Vinh Thai Commune and Vinh Trung Commune. The project has a total area of 143,700m2, including a housing area and public utilities to develop the city, create more social housing resources, add more landscapes and protect the environment. Some 4,500m2 of land is for nursery schools, medical stations; some 80,000m2 for residential land and 15.600m2 for parks.

According to Le Van De, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Construction, the two projects are financed by the off-budget funding. Tan Truong 1 Urban Area has an investment of VND821 billion. At present, many investors have shown interest in the project. Tan Truong Investment Company has provided financial support for making the 1/500 scale detailed planning.


The housing project in Vinh Thai Commune and Vinh Trung Commune has an investment of some VND825 billion. Khanh Hoa Production & Construction Company has shown interest in the project. The project is under the investment approval authorization by Khanh Hoa People’s Committee after ideas and suggestions from Khanh Hoa People’s Council are taken.


Reportedly, Khanh Hoa Provincial Standing Committee has approved in principle the investment in the two projects and asked for a contractor bidding if there are many investment applications or contract designation if there is only one application. The investment procedure period is 12 months from the date of investor approval and the project development period is 36 months from the date of the site handover.

There is tremendous interest in projects of urban and residential areas. Specially, more than 2,000ha has been widened along Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Tac River and Quan Truong River towards Dien An Commune, Dien Khanh District in order to expand human populations away from central urban areas into low-density and thus meet the urban expansion and development demand in the future.
