Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has just given approval on putting 3 more parking lots under planning in Nha Trang City, based on the suggestion made by Khanh Hoa Department of Transport. 2 of the 3 parking lots are planned to be located in Northern Nha Trang City.
Accordingly, the first parking lot will be located in an area of 5.23ha in Vinh Phuong Commune, bordered by the Ring Road 3 to the north and the reserve land area for the development of a high-speed railway to the west. This region is reserve land for development, not yet under a 1/2,000 scale zoning planning, according to the master planning of Nha Trang City by 2025 approved by the Prime Minister in 2012.
The second location planning for a parking lot is at Dong De Radio Station, Vinh Hai Ward. Accordingly, the parking lot is designed to locate in an area of 6.64ha, bordered by Luong Ngoc Quyen Street to the north, Dong De Radio Station to the east, Dong De Radio Station and D Road to the south. After collecting ideas and suggestions from relevant departments and agencies, the Department of Transport has suggested supplementing the 4.7ha parking lot location.
The former land of the Centre for General Techniques Career Orientation is planned for a park and a square connected with parking space.

The leader of Khanh Hoa Department of Transport says the parking lot location is convenient, adjacent to the Ring Road 2, big enough for a park and ride lot and suitable for stationary traffic planning. Reportedly, the land use structures include a service zone with a garage, a canteen, etc; planted space, trails and a parking lot.
The Department of Transport will cooperate with the Department of Construction to specify the location and the size of the parking lot when there is an approval from Khanh Hoa People’s Committee on the planning scheme for the parking lot at the former location of Le Qui Don Gifted School.
The sites suggested for the construction of public parking lots are based on ideas from relevant agencies, departments and localities. The parking lots are to reduce the traffic congestion and facilitate travel in the city, according to Nguyen Van Dan, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Transport.
The area for the parking lot l at the Radio Station, Vinh Hai Ward does not encroach upon the area for the equalizing reservoir and the main pump station in the lot C12 within the Coastal Cities Sustainable Environment Project (CCSEP), Nha Trang City sub-project.
The former locations of Khanh Hoa Children’s House, Le Quy Don Gifted School and Centre for General Techniques Career Orientation will be planned for parks, squares connected with parking space. Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has assigned the Department of Transport to cooperate with relevant departments and localities to continue conducting surveys in Northern Nha Trang City (Ru Ri Pass area) to make suggestions on more parking lots, working with relevant departments to check and provide consultancy for Khanh Hoa People’s Committee on the investment, construction and operation of the parking lots.
