Tran Son Hai, Permanent Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee received Kyle Nunas, Canadian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City on September 14.
Tran Son Hai introduced about potentials and highlights, especially in tourism, service, industry and trade of Khanh Hoa Province and expressed the hope for further cooperation between Khanh Hoa and Canada in education, human resource training; smart city, trade and infrastructure development, etc.
Kyle Nunas expressed the hope to learn more about the education, trade, etc in Khanh Hoa. After the working trip, the two partners will have specific plans to boost the cooperation of enterprises in trade and some other sectors in the time to come.

At present, approximately 30 enterprises in Khanh Hoa are in trade cooperation with Canada. In 2017, the export-import turnover between Khanh Hoa and Canada reached USD12.2 million, including USD11.6 million export turnover of Khanh Hoa.
The export commodities of Khanh Hoa are mainly seafood, wood, garment and vegetables. In the first 6 months of 2018, Khanh Hoa welcomed over 6,000 tourist arrivals, a year-on-year increase of 20%.
