Le Thanh Quang, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee attended a ceremony to welcome the 2018-2019 school year at Le Thanh Liem Junior High School on September 5.
Located in the suburbs, Le Thanh Liem Junior High School has some difficulties to deal with school dropouts. Most of locals are fishermen spending a lot of time working away from home, so many students lack parental care. However, the situation has improved thanks to the concern of provincial leaders and effort of teachers. This school year, the school drop-outs have dropped by 50% compared with the last year.
Last school year, 98.1% of students were qualified to move up and nearly 60% were graded good or above. The junior high school graduation rate reached 99.1%. Many prizes at city and province-levels were awarded.

In the 2018-2019 school year, Le Thanh Liem Junior High School welcomed 150 six-graders, bringing the total number of students to 508. The school strives to create a friendly environment, improve the quality of teahcing and leaning to become a high quality school in Nha Trang City in the near future.
On this occasion, Le Thanh Quang gave 30 scholarships, VND4 million each, from Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee to severely disadvantaged students and 10 awards, VND4 million each, to excellent teachers. The total gifts and awards were worth VND150 million.
