The 2018 – 2019 eighth Khanh Hoa Scientific & Technical Creation Contest is designed to inspire and honor scientific and technical creativity and contribution of local residents, boost scientific and technological application in production and daily life, contributing to the provincial socio-economic growth. The deadline is June 30, 2019. The award ceremony is scheduled to be held in July 2019. Besides, another ongoing event is called the Creation Contest for Teenagers, says Bui Mau, Khanh Hoa Union of Science & Technology Associations (KUSTA) Chairman.
Khanh Hoa Scientific & Technical Creation Contest is open to all Vietnamese people or groups living and working in Khanh Hoa with scientific and technical solutions created and applied since 2014 covering such fields as information technology, electronics, telecommunications, mechanical automation, construction and transportation; materials, chemicals, energy; agriculture, forestry, fishery; natural resources and environment; pharmacy; education and training.
Awards categories this year are quite different from those in previous years. From the 8th contest, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has agreed to increase the number of awards when there are many high-quality entries. Accordingly, this year’s prizes include 3 first prizes, VND20 million each, 4 second, VND14 million each; 10 third prizes, VND10 million each and 40 consolation prizes, VND5 million each.
To attract the participation of many organizations and individuals with many high-quality products, the Organizing Board has publicized the contest on the mass media and the website of the Union of Science & Technology Associations.
Units, districts, towns, enterprises, departments, schools, institutes, socio-political organizations and socio-professional organizations are to inform scientific and technical staff, workers and farmers about the contest; and provide support and favorable conditions for participants to promote their scientific and technical creativeness, thus contributing to the socio-economic development of the province in particular and in Vietnam in general. Organizers hope to receive entries that are professional, creative, efficient and of high quality.
