Many practical and exciting Moon Festival programs for children are being celebrated by many organizations in Khanh Hoa Province.
Van Ninh District is going to organize the Moon Festival with 978 gifts and moon cakes offered to kids; 40 gifts to the disabled children; 100 gifts, containing study materials to the needy. The program will take place in many localities in Van Ninh District on September 23. In Van Ninh Commune alone, the district Youth Union will organize activities for the Moon Festival and offer 281 gifts for kids, says Nguyen Huu Tuan, Secretary of Van Ninh District Youth Union.
This year, Khanh Hoa Department of Labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs will hold Moon Festival programs for children in Khanh Vinh District and offer 600 gifts containing books, notebooks, moon cakes, etc to the disadvantaged. Khanh Hoa Department of Labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs together with Global Company will offer 600 gifts to kids. The charity activities were worth more than VND200 million, according to Vo Binh Tan, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Department of Labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs.

The Youth Unions of communes and wards are organizing many activities for kids to celebrate the Moon Festival. Vinh Truong Ward Youth Union will organize a charity program in Khanh Son Mountainous District with many activities such as team games and the donation of gifts containing moon cakes, books, notebooks, study materials, candies, etc to children in Thanh Son Commune on September 15 and 16. The activity is expected at VND35 million, reports Nguyen Chi Anh, Secretary of Nha Trang Youth Union.
Khanh Hoa Children’s House is going to celebrate the Moon Festival with the participation of 650 children from orphanages and social service organizations in Khanh Hoa Province on September 23. The children will have a chance to enjoy musical shows, unicorn dance and take part in many exciting games. About 1,150 gifts are expected to be given to kids on this moon festival season occasion, says Nguyen Phuong Doanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Children’s House.
In addition, several charity organizations and groups will also join the effort to bring Moon Festival fun to kids. Haly Hely group, Nha Trang City will organize a program in Dien Dong Commune, Dien Khanh District on September 16.
Pham Thanh Toan, a member of the Haly Hely Group says, “We have offered 170 Moon festival gifts and organized games for the children. In a few days, the group will send 60 gifts to primary school children in Cam Phuoc Dong Commune, Cam Ranh City and candies to orphaned and abandoned children this weekend.
