Deputy Minister of Agriculture & Rural Development Hoang Van Thang paid a field visit and offered aid to families of 5 dead victims in the landslide in Thanh Phat Village, Phuoc Dong Commune and 2 others in Truong Son Village, Vinh Truong Ward on November 19.
The Deputy Minister confirmed the torrential downpour caused serious destruction to Khanh Hoa, especially in Nha Trang City. Most of the victims were killed in the landslide. The National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Control highly appreciated post-disaster recovery work and asked local departments and agencies to help local residents to repair and recover from damages and loss; and required for Khanh Hoa's long-term comprehensive measures against natural disasters to minimize damages.
