The Southern Regional Hydrometeorological Center issued on November 21 the warning of floods, flash floods and landslides in Khanh Hoa Province. Accordingly, due to the impact of the Toraji typhoon eyewall combined with intensified cold air, there will be massive heavy rain on November 23 – 26, mostly in Khanh Hoa on 23 and 24 November. The rainfall is estimated at 250-350mm.
On November 23-26, rivers in Khanh Hoa will face the threat of flooding at the alarming levels II and III. The Toraji typhoon eyewall combined with rising tides will cause flooding in river lower basins in Khanh Hoa. The natural disaster risk is at level 2.
The heavy rain will put mountain slopes at risks of landslide and low-lying places at threat of flooding, especially in Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh, Van Ninh, Cam Lam and Nha Trang City. The natural disaster risk is at level 2.
