Lao Journalists’ Association led by Savankhone Razmountry, Vice-Minister of Lao Information, Culture & Tourism, President of Lao Journalists’ Association paid a visit to Khanh Hoa Newspaper on November 14.
Khanh Hoa Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Tran Duy Hung showed his delight to welcome the mission of Lao Journalists’ Association and then gave some introduction about Khanh Hoa Newspaper. Accordingly, Khanh Hoa Newspaper has 6 issues a week with its Khanh Hoa online including 2 versions in English and Vietnamese, receiving 2.5 million visits a month. Khanh Hoa Newspaper is one of Vietnam’s first local revolutionary newspapers with the tradition of 71 years of foundation and development.
Savankhone Razmountry thanked for the warm welcome of Khanh Hoa Newspaper leaders and noted that the visit was part of the cooperation and exchange agreement of the Journalists’ Associations of the two countries in order to learn and share journalism experience in the new period. Khanh Hoa Newspaper is a large-scale press agency following the provincial socioeconomic development orientation.
Lao and Vietnamese journalism share the similar tasks of propagandizing policies of the Party and State to the public, contributing to the local socio-economic growth. Savankhone Razmountry realized the contribution of Khanh Hoa Newspaper staff, reporters and editors to the provincial development; and long history and tradition of Khanh Hoa Newspaper. He also conveyed the greeting to Khanh Hoa Newspaper growth, especially in the present boom in the mass media.
On this occasion, the mission members also expressed the hope that Khanh Hoa Newspaper leaders would share information about journalism training, issue launch, operational cost and royalty payment.
