Heavy rains that hit Nha Trang City last week have resulted in landslides and rockfalls, leading some residential areas cut off in Thanh Phat Village and Thanh Dat Village, Phuoc Dong Commune, Nha Trang City. The massive rubble clean-up is urgently underway.
 
The November 18 flooding has filled Dang Thai Mai Road with mud and rocks and it took 2 days to open a temporary lane. Dao Duy Anh Road is in the same situation with 40cm of mudflow and landslide in some sections.

Some roads adjacent to Quan Truong River in Thanh Dat Village are also blocked with mud and debris, up to dozens of centimeters from landslides. Nha Trang Urban Environment Company is making urgent clean-up effort at the junction with Nguyen Van Linh Road and other main roads leading to Xom Nui, Thanh Phat Village.
 
The clean-up is expected to take 2 days due to massive landslide and rockfalls, says Hoang Quoc Viet, a driver of Nha Trang Urban Environment Company.
 
Dang Loi, Chairman of Phuoc Dong People’s Committee says the locality is prioritizing the search for the missing in Thanh Phat Village. The local authority has mobilized enterprises to help local residents with the clean-up work to assure traffic safety.
 
The recent flash flood caused landslide and rockfalls in many places, especially in Phuoc Dong Commune. Therefore, since November 21, Nha Trang Urban Environment Company has mobilized staff and vehicles to help with the cleanup efforts to facilitate travel. The 24-hour urgent clean-up operation is underway, says Ho Ngoc An, CEO of Nha Trang Urban Environment Company.
