Various beneficial activities for young pioneers and pupils

Young Pioneer Organization activities have effectively held, contributing to promoting young pioneers and pupils’ knowledge and skills.

 

Many practical activities

 

Truong Tan Hung, Vice-Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Young Pioneer Council says in recent years, lifestyle education has been focused to help pupils learn more about the national history. On national holidays, gratitude activities include trips to historical places, namely Monument for Johnson South Reef Soldiers in Cam Lam District, the memorial site for C235 Ship in Ninh Van Commune, Ninh Hoa Town;  23-10 Park in Nha Trang City, etc.

 

 

 

Khanh Hoa Young Pioneer Council together with Khanh Hoa Department of Labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs has opened a children’s forum to raise children’s awareness of child sexual abuse; accident and drowning prevention to protect themselves.

 

Over the past years, Khanh Hoa Young Pioneer Council has cooperated with the education sector to boost integrated propaganda through flag meetings and team activities. Besides, life skill classes have also effectively held for pupils. Last school year, 321 training classes opened to provide knowledge about the Children’s Law for more than 30,000 young pioneers and pupils in Khanh Hoa.

 

Activities are regularly innovated with many effective models. Khanh Hoa Young Pioneer Council has recently developed innovative break time ideas to get kids motivated to learn and interested in creative scientific experience at schools in Khanh Hoa. Accordingly, during the break time, pupils are encouraged to join such activities as reading at libraries, playing sports, growing vegetables, learning about science, etc.

 

Support for the disadvantaged

 

Khanh Hoa Young Pioneer Council has also widely organized activities to provide assistance for the disadvantaged thanks to the support of pupils’ parents and other sponsors. Many charity programs have run with shoes, clothes and school things donated to young pioneers in need. Especially, Khanh Hoa Young Pioneer Council together with its subsidiaries has provided funding for the house repair and construction of the severely disadvantaged. The aid worth VND50 million for 1 house construction and VND25 million each for the repair of 2 houses was given to the needy in the 2017 – 2018 academic year. 

 

In addition, thanks to good coordination with the enterprises, Khanh Hoa Young Pioneer Council has helped many poor members affected by the Typhoon Damrey in 2017. Khanh Hoa Young Pioneer Council in cooperation with Prudential Vietnam Life Assurance Company donated VND400 million to needy students; in coordination with Tuoi Tre Newspaper presented 280 gifts worth VND360 million in Ninh Hoa Commune, etc. The Young Pioneer Councils at district, town and city have mobilized nearly VND4 billion to help young pioneers in need.

 

“In the time to come, we will continue our effort to  promote achievements, provide further training for teachers in charge  of youth activities and increase the competence of Young Pioneer Council staff, etc to improve its operation,” says Truong Tan Hung.
