Dao Cong Thien, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee had a working session with the World Bank (WB) mission on the progress of the Coastal Cities Sustainable Environment Project (CCSEP), Nha Trang City sub-project on November 20.
The bidding for 3 construction and installment packages has been completed and the contract is expected to be signed in December 2018. 2 consultancy contract packages are also expected to be signed in December. 1 consultancy contract package is making bidding procedures. Site clearance work will begin right after the contract is signed.
The measurement for site clearance work for the 5 constructions, namely waste water treatment plant in northern area, rainwater pump station, pressure drainage from the rail bridge to the wastewater treatment plant, Chu Dong Tu Road, Northern Cai River dykes and embankment has been completed.
The site clearance work of Ngoc Hiep resettlement site, 5.8ha, has been completed and handed over to the contractor, expected to be completed in August 2019. However, the funding, USD 60.6 million sponsored by the WB has not been disbursed.
Dao Cong Thien requested the Provincial Development Project Management Board, relevant departments and Nha Trang City People's Committee to continue the coordination to ensure the project progress and quality.
Reportedly, the total cost of the Nha Trang City sub-project is estimated at USD72 million, including USD60.6 million funded by the WB. The project is active from January 18, 2018 and scheduled to complete on December 30, 2022.
