South Korean Consul General visits Khanh Hoa

Tran Son Hai, Permanent Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee received South Korean Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Lim Jae Hoon on December 5.

 

On behalf of Khanh Hoa leaders, Tran Son Hai introduced about the provincial socio-economic conditions as well as its foreign investment opportunities and potentials in trade and tourism and confirmed that the local authority would provide favorable conditions for South Korean businesses. He also hoped that Lim Jae Hoon would continue providing a link between South Korean businesses and Khanh Hoa.

 

 

 

Lim Jae Hoon expressed his delight at the thriving cooperation relationship between South Korea and Vietnam in general and South Korea and Khanh Hoa in particular and hoped that Khanh Hoa authority would continue giving concern and support for South Korean enterprises, especially in investment procedures and considering the opening of direct flights from Khanh Hoa to some provinces and cities in South Korea, etc.

 

In 2018, the export turnover of Khanh Hoa has reached about USD1.3 billion, including nearly USD400 million from Korean Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard. The air route between Khanh Hoa and South Korea has facilitated the travel between the 2 places. Currently, Korea is the third largest international tourist market of Khanh Hoa (after China and Russia). In the first 10 months of 2018, Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 58,600 Korean arrivals, a year-on-year increase of 73.6%. The number of visitors from Khanh Hoa and neighboring provinces to South Korea has also increased considerably.
