Nha Trang City People’s Committee has requested acceleration of the urban renovation work to be completed before January 30 (or the 25th of the last lunar month of 2019) to welcome the festive Lunar New Year season which is coming in a couple of weeks.
Many streets under renovation and maintenance
Nha Trang City People’s Committee has assigned Nha Trang Construction Project Management Board to be the investor of the road maintenance and repair project of repaving sidewalks; patching potholes and sinkholes; installing asphalt; and replacing all inappropriate trees on Vo Thi Sau and To Hieu streets with a total cost of VND12 billion.
The traffic work on To Vinh Dien, Dinh Tien Hoang, Bach Dang, Hoang Dieu, Da Tuong, Truong Son and Tran Hung Dao streets includes repaving sidewalks with Terrazzo bricks; repairing damaged sewerage and curbs; and replacing inappropriate trees with a total cost of more than VND15 billion.
The urban renovation and repair work has basically finished and auxiliary works are expected to finish next week, says Nguyen Thanh Van, Vice-Director of Nha Trang Construction Project Management Board.

Road work accelerated
Nguyen Sy Khanh, Vice-Chairman of Nha Trang City People’s Committee says the city has constantly urged execution units to meet the project progress and quality requirement, focusing on road maintenance and repair, to facilitate travel during the lunar year-end holiday.
Apart from renovation projects undertaken by Nha Trang Construction Project Management Board, road maintenance and repair work, including patching, installing asphalt and cleaning sewers has been allocated with budget funding. Other tasks include macadamizing unpaved roads to improve traffic safety. Street project contractors are required to keep construction sites safe and clean during the year-end holiday, according to the leader of Nha Trang City Urban Management Office.
The urban renovation for the lunar New Year in Nha Trang City is underway smoothly as scheduled. Besides, Nha Trang City Urban Management Office has sped up the replacing and installing old traffic signs; repairing traffic facilities damaged by storms in 2018; and repainting road surface markings to facilitate the travel of local revellers and tourists, says Ngo Khac Thinh, Deputy Chief of Nha Trang City Urban Management Office.
