Over the past years, Khanh Hoa Water Supply & Sewerage Company has made great attempt to increase capacity to serve Nha Trang City and the neighborhood.

The total capacity of the company has reached 140,000m3/ day and night with 3 main plants named Vo Canh: 110,000m3/day and night; Xuan Phong: 15.000m3/day and night and Suoi Dau, joint venture with Vietnam Water, Sanitation & Environment Company, 1st stage: 15,000m3/day and night, serving 134,000 households in Nha Trang City and Dien Khanh District.

The water supply network has expanded to the outskirts. The water supply pipes are more than 1,150km long, covering all wards and communes in Nha Trang City and partly in Dien Khanh District. The company has 8 boosting pumping stations, 3 additional booster chlorination stations for far-off places in Vinh Hoa, Vinh Luong, Phuoc Dong, etc.

Apart from assuring water supply, every year, the company also performs maintenance to make sure water mains are in a good condition, repairing old water pipes. A boosting pressure system has been installed in some high and far-off places, some are 30m high, to cut cost and increase efficiency such as the driving school on Nguyen Xien Street, Duong De (Vinh Hoa Ward) and Vinh Truong. Therefore, residents on islands or the outskirts have also had access to clean water meeting the standard required by the Ministry of Health at affordable prices.

Besides, the company has also applied advanced information technology in administration and business such as using the SCADA system for monitoring water supply networks, water metering, electronic invoices. However, the clean water supply has not reached some places and boosting pressures stations and distribution stations are among solutions to the problem.

In the time to come, the company together with its shareholders plans to build Son Thanh Water Plant with a capacity of 50,000m3/day and night in the 1st phase in Dien Tho Commune, Dien Khanh; invested in new pipes DN 700 along Vo Nguyen Giap Street and in residential zones in western Nha Trang; continue taking measures to reduce water loss, maintain and repair old plants and pipes to better serve customers, says Nguyen Van Dam, CEO of Khanh Hoa Water Supply & Sewerage Company.
