Vietnamese and Japanese scientists have just found a new species of fauna named Calophyllum honbaense, Clusiaceae family, in Hon Ba Natural Reserve, Khanh Hoa Province according to Do Anh Thy, Director of the Management Board of Hon Ba Natural Reserve. The species was discovered at the height of 1.498m above the sea level.
This is the joint effort in the research cooperation program between Vietnam Academy of Science & Technology’s Institute of Tropical Biology and Japanese Kyushu University’s Center for Asian Ecological Conservation.
