Khanh Hoa Steering Board for Blood Donation launched a blood donation campaign 2019 at Khanh Hoa University in response to the National Blood Donation Day on April 7 with the participation of nearly 600 Youth Union members, young people and public sector staff. Present at the event was Nguyen Dac Tai, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee.
The Steering Board for Blood Donation presented certificates of gratitude to organizations accompanying the program; and BIDV Khanh Hoa offered gifts to the first 15 blood donors. After the launching ceremony, nearly 200 students and staff joined a street parade and 400 volunteers donated blood with more than 350 units of blood collected.
Reportedly, over 30 blood donation drives have been held with more than 5,000 units of blood donated since the beginning of this year. In 2018 alone, more than 19,000 units of blood were donated, meeting nearly 99% of blood demand for medical treatment and emergency.
