Khanh Hoa Steering Board for Blood Donation held a meeting in response to Red Journey 2019 on July 5. Present at the event was Nguyen Dac Tai, Permanent Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee together with more than 500 representatives of local departments and agencies in Khanh Hoa.
At the meeting, attendants were provided blood donation information and benefits. On this occasion, the organizing board of the National Red Journey presented a commemorative flag to Khanh Hoa Steering Board for Blood Donation; 34 groups and individuals with great contributon to the blood donation campaign. Besides, gifts were offered to 15 needy blood disorder patients under treatment thanks donated blood sources.

This is the 7th time the Red Journey has been held nationwide in 39 provinces and cities with approximately 60,000 units of blood expected to be collected. This is the 6th time Khanh Hoa has joined the program with the participation of more than 2,000 blood donors, donating 1,500 units of blood.
Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Dac Tai called for blood donation among public servants and residents to assure sufficient blood supply for medical treatment and emergency, especially during summer and national holidays.
