Khanh Hoa Department of Transportation has given approval to the suggestion of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Association of Tourism to allow 16-seat vehicles to travel on Tran Phu Street from the 86 junction to Hoang Dieu intersection from 22:00 to 5am the following day.
Several transport businesses and hotels on Tran Phu Street from the 86 junction to Hoang Dieu intersection have suggested permitting 16-seat vehicles to travel on the street section to facilitate tourist travel to Nha Trang City, says the leader of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Association of Tourism.

There are many hotels from the 86 junction to the Hoang Dieu intersection receiving an influx of tourists. In addition, a large number of international passengers are transported to Nha Trang City from Cam Ranh International Airport at night. Therefore, the ban on such vehicles from traveling a night has caused some inconvenience for travel and transportation businesses. The Association of Tourism has suggested local authorities would permit the vehicles to travel on the section during the off-peak period from 22:00 to 5am the following day, says Nguyen Van Thanh, Standing Vice-Chairman of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Association of Tourism.
The time suggestion is quite appropriate because after 5am, many local residents and tourists head to the beach for a swim. Then, the travel of big tour buses during this period will obviously increase congestion in the famed beachfront avenue, according to Ngo Khac Thinh, Deputy Chief of Nha Trang City Urban Management Office.

“To assure the traffic control, Khanh Hoa Department of Transportation has suggested Nha Trang City People’s Committee would propagandize the policy on mass media and assign Nha Trang City Urban Management Division to adjust traffic signs on Tran Phu Street from the 86 junction to Hoang Dieu intersection,” says Nguyen Van Dan, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Transportation.
