A dead whale weighing 2.5 tons, measuring 5.5m, was found adrift ashore in Van Hung Commune, Van Ninh District, Khanh Hoa Province on August 1, reported Pham Truc Viet, Chairman of Van Hung Commune People’s Committee.
Burial rituals for the whale were then held at the Whale Temple.
