Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has requested Khanh Hoa Department of Transport to urgently build temporary parking lots expected to be put into use before October 31.
Accordingly, Khanh Hoa Department of Transport has suggested some locations for parking lots apart from those approved by Khanh Hoa People’s Committee. Khanh Hoa Center for Land Fund Development has been assigned to build temporary parking lots at Binh Tan Port Warehouse and 170 Le Hong Phong.
Specifically, the lot No. 315, map sheet No. 24, Phuoc Trung, Phuoc Dong has an area of over 35,350 m2, including nearly 5,700 m2 under traffic planning, 9,500m2 under public work planning and more than 1,800m2 under renovated urban zone planning.

The land has been being rent by Cat Phu Company to build a paper material processing factory for 5 years from January 20-2015 to January 20, 2020 under the approval from Khanh Hoa People’s Committee. According to Khanh Hoa Department of Construction, the lot is adjacent to Nguyen Tat Thanh Street and on the gateway to Nha Trang City center from Cam Ranh Airport. The place is convenient for transferring tourists to and from the city center.
Another location is a 15,300m2 land planning for Nha Trang City General Hospital in My Gia Urban Area. The lot has convenient road connectivity with Vo Nguyen Giap Street. Khanh Hoa Department of Health has taken the measurements of the lot for the project. Khanh Hoa Department of Health in collaboration with Khanh Hoa Department of Finance will provide consultancy for Khanh Hoa People’s Committee to issue a bidding decision on the project. The lot has been suggested to be temporarily used for parking during the project Nha Trang City General Hospital construction bidding process.
In addition, Khanh Hoa Department of Transport has also suggested a part of the lot planned for a concentrated slaughter house, 12.6ha in Phuoc Dong Commune in Nha Trang City as a temporary parking lot. On April 5, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee issued a decision to deactivate an approved investment project on a concentrated slaughter house (1st phase).
Nha Trang City has issued a plan to use the lot as follows: A part of 2.89ha, currently used for essential infrastructures and the storage of exhibits in Nha Trang City, will be used for park and ride facilities. 7.34ha lot will be invested with essential technical infrastructures for resettlement projects. 1.19ha on the right side of the Provincial Road 3 will be used for temporary parking when the site clearance work completes.
Khanh Hoa Department of Transport has suggested using 2.89ha and a part of the land on the right side of the Provincial Road 3 as temporary parking lots during the land use purpose review and adjustment process made by Khanh Hoa People’s Committee.
Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has requested the temporary parking lots to be built and completed before October 31. Khanh Hoa Department of Transport will collect ideas and suggestions of departments and send a detailed report to Khanh Hoa People’s Committee for approval. Basically, the land suggested for temporary parking lots is convenient for road network connectivity and it has been cleared for use, according to Nguyen Van Dan, Director Khanh Hoa Department of Transport.
