The Professional Oriented Higher Education (POHE) and Bilingual Program abbreviated to Advanced Education Program has been instituted in 4 specialties at Nha Trang University from the academic year 2019 – 2020.

The program is to implement the university's development strategy towards diversification of industries and training forms, contributing to improving training to meet the demand for highly qualified human resources. The training program is 4 specialties, namely Business Administration, bilingual English-Vietnamese; Information Technology & Oriented Application, Hotel Management, bilingual English-Vietnamese; and Tourism & Travel Service Administration, bilingual French –Vietnamese.

The number of students in each class is limited, ranging from 30 to 40 in a theory class and not more than 20 in a practice and discuss class. The classroom is equipped with modern devices and conveniences such as projectors, the Internet, air-conditioners and a high-quality sound system. The foreign book library is open for free admission. More practice time allows learners to get experience and enhance professional skills in the world of work.

Besides, there are bilingual language modules. Lectures are holders of Master's degrees or higher, experienced in teaching and scientific research and well trained in developed countries. Students are inducted into businesses for their apprenticeship, traineeship and work after graduation. The training time is 4 years and the fee is about VND10 million/term, double that of a normal program.

The Business Administration focuses on specialized administration knowledge and skills to help learners to get well-prepared as business administrators and personnel experts in the future.

The hotel management students are trained to work in hotels, resorts, restaurants and other tourism and travel businesses (event organizing, air service, medical service, etc); or state-owned tourism management agencies, educational agencies and schools (tourism institutes, universities and colleges).

The Information Technology & Oriented Application, Software Engineering sets a target that learners will master essential skills before graduation to meet their job requirement. The Hospitality Management aims to provide learners with intensive skills and attributes in hospitality activities in hotels, restaurants, tourism and travel businesses; skills to organize and set up businesses.

The recruitment for the program takes place at the same time with other specialties. However, apart from combination tests, students’ English or French skills are assessed and top graders are chosen for the program. At present, 120 students are taking the program in the 4 specificities, says PhD. To Van Phuong, Chief of Nha Trang University's Office of Academic Affairs.
