Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training held a meeting on November 18 to mark the 37th Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982-2019). Present at the event was Nguyen Khac Dinh, Central Party Committee Member, Member of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee, Chief of the National Assembly’s Committee on Laws, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Secretary.
At the event, the representatives reviewed traditional Vietnamese Teachers’ Day; honored generations of teachers’ contribution to the local education and stable advancement of education in Khanh Hoa. In 2018 – 2019 school year, Khanh Hoa remained its leading position in education in the Southern Central region and the Highlands. In 2019 – 2020 school year, there are 546 schools from nursery to high school levels and regular education centers with 21,379 staff. The teacher quality has developed with qualifications meeting or above the required. The teaching and learning conditions have improved.
Nguyen Khac Dinh appreciated the effort and achievements in education and requested for further innovation in teaching methods and integration of academic teaching and developing ethical and life skills; boost in vocational orientation activities; improvement in teaching staff’s living standards, etc.
On this occasion, Ha Van Thong, Chief of Nursery and Primary Education Division, Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training received the Prime Minister’s certificate of merit for achievements from 2014 to 2018. The Ministry of Education & Training awarded commemorative medals “For the cause of education” to 5 individuals; flags of emulation to 5 groups and certificates of merit to 5 groups and 10 individuals.
