Khanh Hoa Tuberculosis Lung Diseases Hospital in association with Ninh Hoa Town Medical Center has just given chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) screening examination to 50 high-risk patients.
The patients were given medical check-up together with a few tests, including chest X-ray, sputum test; pulse rate, temperature and blood pressure measurement. Khanh Hoa Tuberculosis Lung Diseases Hospital plans to take another medical trip to the township to give medical check-up to some 350 people this year.
Reportedly, Khanh Hoa Tuberculosis Lung Diseases Hospital is managing more than 400 COPD patients. Every year, nearly 2,000 pulmonary function tests are given; and 2-4 meetings are organized for Asthma & Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Club members.
