Nguyen Dac Tai, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee took a storm response inspection trip to Van Ninh District this evening (November 10) as Nakri Storm is forecast to hit northern Khanh Hoa.
1,800 homes were evacuated from high-risk areas; all vessels and over 40,200 aquafarms owned by 1,277 families returned to shelter safely by 6p.m today, according to Van Ninh District People’s Committee.

He also directed the district to report the case of 2 fishermen stranded on aquafarms by rising waves to the central authorities for rescue support. The district is still keeping contact with the 2 people to give them instructions to stay safe before rescue operations.
