Cambodian Royal Navy Senior official mission led by Admiral Van Bunleang, Vice-Commander, Chief of Cambodian Royal Navy staff paid a call on the Navy Academy on December 5. Rear Admiral, Vice-Professor, PhD Nguyen Van Lam, Director of the Navy Academy presided over the reception.
The two partners affirmed the special lasting relationship between the 2 countries and expressed the hope that the trip would help promote and open new cooperation opportunities in the national defense relation of the two countries in general and in the fields of education and military scientific research in particular.
Over the past 52 years since the foundation of the diplomatic relation between Vietnam and Cambodia, the friendship and cooperation between the two parties, States, people and military forces have contributed to the peace, cooperation and development in each countries and in the region.

Reportedly, over the past years, the Academy of Naval has provided professional development and training for thousands of Cambodian naval officials. Especially, all the mission members are ex-students of the Naval Academy and many of them have become generals.
