Now with almost one month remaining before the Lunar New Year, organizations and agencies in Khanh Hoa are implementing charity activities to help poor families to have a happy and fulfilled holiday.
 
Sharing and spreading kindness
 
Vinh Truong Ward Youth, Nha Trang City, in association with the Piggy Bank Charity Association has taken a charity trip to the mountainous commune of Ba Cum Nam in Khanh Son District, donating 1 ton of warm clothes, 700 lunch portions, 250 portions of sweets to kids and 200 gifts, containing rice, blankets and food for adults together with charity haircut for children and locals. The program was worth nearly VND100 million in total. 
 
Bui Duc Thong, Vice-Secretary of Vinh Truong Ward Youth Union says Vinh Truong Ward Youth Union is carrying out a plan to offer gifts to 100 children on Bich Dam Island, Vinh Nguyen Ward, Nha Trang City to help the poor to have a happier New Year.

The Youth Unions of the wards of Phuoc Tien, Tan Lap, Vinh Hoa and Vinh Luong, Nha Trang City have taken charity trips to offer gifts to the disadvantaged in Ninh Van Commune, Ninh Hoa Town. In addition, the Youth Unions of schools in Khanh Hoa have boosted charity work in the locality. Do Quoc Viet, Director of Nha Trang University Student Service & Enterprise Relationship Center says the university is preparing for providing transport assistance for the New Year journey back home of some 300-500 students. Besides, the university will celebrate a New Year program and offer gifts to students who are unable to return home for the Lunar New Year family gathering.
 
In mid-December, Nha Trang National College of Pedagogy will organize a special program to welcome New Year as well as honor school-level Five-Virtue students. On this occasion, students in need will be offered travel grants for their New Year journey back home. Some aid will be offered to needy students remaining at school during the holiday.
 
Several meaningful activities
 
According to the leader of Khanh Hoa Youth Union leaders, from December 15, 2019 to February 5, 2020, the provincial Youth Union will celebrate numerous activities in Khanh Hoa, especially mountainous areas. The provincial Youth Union has directed organizations to donate blankets, footwear, food and other necessities to children in disadvantaged communities; and mobilized social recourses for house repair and construction for the needy in the program “young people engaged in climate change mitigation and environmental protection”.
 
From now to the end of the year, the Young Doctors’ Club will also organize medical trips following Uncle Ho’s teachings and volunteering for the community’s health to give medical check-up and medications free of charge to locals as well as provide knowledge about common diseases for kids at schools. 
 
Khanh Hoa Youth Union together its affiliations is going to organize various activities, including paying New Year visits, supporting New Year journeys back home with train and coach tickets offered to students in need; and organizing New Year programs for poor patients. Many agencies have registered for meaningful year-end activities. All the charity work is committed to bringing more joy and happiness to the needy in the coming New Year, according to Bui Hoai Nam, Sectary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union.
